Whenever people ask me what my favorite part about living in Madrid is, I never know what to say. It's impossible to choose just one thing! Over the past 13 months of living here, my love for this city has snowballed. Aside from the lifestyle, the language, and working at a job I love, it's the city's many hidden gems and small details that have truly won over my heart.
Here's what makes me fall more and more in love with Madrid as each day passes, as seen through the lens of my iPhone:
My beautiful Madrid, how will I ever leave you? (Maybe I won't.) I'm certainly not ready to give you up anytime soon, so it seems as if I may need to rework my plans for next year...

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for featuring my post! Estonia is totally worth being on your list :). It's so overlooked, but Tallinn is really amazing. It's nice to visit a European capital that isn't over-run by tourists.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of Madrid is Amor de Dios - a Flamenco studio in Lavapiés!

ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope you get the chance to visit soon - it's truly a magical place!
ReplyDeleteWell I certainly can't complain about the food ;) Come visit any time; the Spanish sunshine might be a necessary escape from Scotland's cold!!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'll have to check that out! I really enjoy watching flamenco, but it's hard to find the places that aren't tourist traps! Thanks for the recommendation!
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne! I hope you get the chance to go there soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cynthia :) Madrid is certainly a great place to live! (And being in the USA for the holidays has constantly reminded me of that... I'm already going through Spain withdrawals haha.)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashley! I certainly can't complain :)
ReplyDeleteThe best indeed! We're lucky to live there!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lian!
ReplyDeleteHaha indeed - that definitely makes a difference :)
ReplyDeleteYes! It is hard - my favorite Flamenco show was ironically in Barcelona (not traditional there ;). I've taken classes in Los Angeles too, but obviously Amor de Dios is most authentic...unless of course you go down south. Please eat some croquetas for me.
